Questions about official Somerset County criminal records should go to the office that created or maintains the document. The Clerk of Courts handles Common Pleas criminal files, the county jail addresses local custody, and each police agency controls its own incident records. Pennsylvania State Police operates the state repository. This private reference site cannot accept filings or issue records, but the contacts below route common requests to the proper government channel.

This Is Not a Government Office. This privately run resource cannot pull records, conduct official checks, correct a history, or accept an expungement petition.

Need an Official Record?

Use the office tied to the record rather than sending one broad request:

  • Common Pleas criminal files: Clerk of Courts, 111 East Union Street, Suite 110, Somerset, PA 15501; 814-445-1435; weekdays 8:30 a.m.-4:00 p.m.
  • County custody and booking: Somerset County Jail, 127 East Fairview Street #100, Somerset, PA 15501; 814-445-1500
  • Sheriff court process: Somerset County Sheriff, 111 East Union Street, Suite 100, Somerset, PA 15501; 814-445-1502
  • County executive records: Chief Clerk, 300 North Center Avenue, Suite 500, Somerset, PA 15501; rtk@somersetcountypa.gov; fax 814-445-7991
  • State criminal history: Pennsylvania State Police Central Repository through PATCH or the subject-only Access and Review process
  • Incident and arrest reports: the municipal police department or PSP barracks that created the report

Court papers should be requested by docket number. A police request works best with the date, place, agency, incident number, and exact existing document sought. County court-office hours are Monday through Friday, 8:30 a.m. to 4:00 p.m., excluding legal holidays.
